About 2000 motorcyclists lose lives in fatal crashes annually.
I surveyed sports riders and commuters who ride motorcycles and scooters daily.
All of them emphasised a need for extended back protection.
While there are many motorcycle backpacks, there's a clear lack of proper hardshell backpacks.
Hard shell backpacks are exceptional at handling impact and preferred by sports bikers.
This made me think:
What if DUCATI makes a proper hardshell backpack?
I thoroughly studied the DUCATI brand and other relevant motorsports elements. Dozens of sketches were made. As DUCATI bikes reflect performance through its form, users wanted the backpack to be the same.
Advanced level 3D surface modelling was critical in forming curvaceous and ergonomic surfaces. The model needed the perfect surfacing to show off the finest material details.
